Calancombe Estate, near Modbury in South Devon, is an award winning Vineyard, Winery and Distillery.
As well as wine from our own grapes, we make Dartmouth English Gin, cyder, cassis, apple brandy and rhubarb gin.
Calancombe Estate extends to approximately 23 hectares and comprises 8 hectares of vines including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Bacchus, Ortega, Pinot Gris and Madeleine Angevine.
WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A VINEYARD MANAGER
Calancombe Estate, a family run South Devon vineyard, winery, Cellar Door restaurant and distillery is seeking a Winemaker and a Vineyard Manager to join its friendly team.
The successful candidate will:

Be responsible for all aspects of vineyard management including Winter pruning, Summertime canopy management, mowing, spraying, soil cultivations, weed control, crop monitoring, harvesting and harvest labour

Support apprentice

Be happy to support winery operations following harvest and other busy times like bottling and there is the opportunity to learn about winemaking and to get involved in tours and tastings too.

Support pruning of the apple orchards and blackcurrant fields (used to make our cassis)

Source and manage harvest labour

Have previous tractor experience and hold necessary spray qualifications for curtain sprayer

Hold a proficiency certificate for forklift operation
